This course is perfect for both beginners, and people who are more experienced with clay and wanting to further their skills.

On this course you can expect to get comfortable with hand-building and throwing forms on the wheel.

Some hand-building techniques Zoe and Ellie will introduce you to include; Slab building, pinch pots and coils.

On the wheel you will learn and practise the principles of centring, making cylinders and bowls and then refining your work with what we call “turning” or “trimming”.

You will also learn different ways for decorating your pots including Sgraffito, under-glaze, impressions and glazing.

All sessions include materials, tools, aprons, the firing of your pots, and drinks and biscuits.

Two dedicated teachers and a small class size of 6 people.
